Regional Tournament Results!!! - Viper Tennis State-Bound
We had an awesome time at the Regional Tournament in San Antonio on Thursday and Friday! There were a lot of fierce competitors in the bracket, and all of our athletes overcame obstacles to end up in the final rounds on day two! Griffin Heintz, Ninaad Nair, McKayka Bagnal, Alexandra Macarie, and Milagro Wilson all represented Vandegrift in the draw from placing 1st or 2nd in the District tournament.
The athletes played four rounds each at Regionals, and by the time the tournament ended, the Viper players all either out-placed their seeds or finished where they were seeded to end up! Griffin and Ninaad placed 2nd in boys doubles, and Milagro placed 2nd in girls singles. These three athletes will be representing Vandegrift in the State tournament in San Antonio on Thursday and Friday (May 15-16). McKayla and Alexandra placed 4th in girls doubles after a grueling three-set match where they worked together to make adjustments and kept fighting until the end.
Congrats to these outstanding players and good luck to Griffin, Ninaad, and Milagro at State!
Students- we have created a new academic feedback form. Please use this if you would like to anonymously provide feedback about an academic concern.
