As of 8/16/19 at 10am, parking tags are now sold out for the 2019-20 school year. If you are a Junior or Senior who has purchased a parking tag before 8/16/19 at 10am, you should come to the AP office immediately to pick up your parking tag. 
Seniors who still need to purchase a parking tag, should come to the AP office to discuss limited options.
 Unfortunately, 
there are NO more parking spots available on campus for Juniors or Sophomores. Students who did not get a parking tag, may choose park on the public street as space allows, get a ride to school or ride the school bus. Please note: VHS and LISD have no jurisdiction on the public street so if a student chooses to park on the street, they must follow driving and parking laws. If they do not, they are subject to tickets from the City of Austin and Travis Co Sheriffs.

Parking on campus is a privilege to our upperclassmen.

Parking permit purchases for SENIORS will open on August 5th, with a pick-up date of August 12th.

Parking Permit purchases for JUNIORS will open on August 12th, with a pick-up date of August 15th (First day of school).

IF there are parking passes available after August 21st, we will open parking permit purchases for SOPHMORES.

Parking permits are NONREFUNDABLE. If you purchase a parking permit at the incorrect time, you will NOT receive a parking permit or a refund. If you lose your parking permit, you must purchase a new permit for FULL PRICE. A fee may be charged for a replacement permit if the permit is lost due to disciplinary action.

 

BEFORE you purchase a parking permit, please read.

  • Purchasing a parking permit DOES NOT guarantee you a spot in the parking lot.
  • Driving a vehicle on campus is a privilege afforded to students. With this privilege, comes the responsibility to abide by certain rules and regulations. Students may lose the privilege to drive and park on all school property if the rules and regulations are not observed. All cars and motorcycles driven to school by students must be registered and parked in the designated student parking areas.
  • The permit must be displayed on the windshield, clearly visible. Students, who park on school property without a permit, or those who park in an area not designated for student use, may be subject to disciplinary action. Repeat offenders may have their permit revoked or their vehicle towed at the owner's expense.
  • The speed limit on school property is 10 m.p.h. This speed is established for the safety of everyone. Pedestrians ALWAYS have the right a way.
  • Use of vehicles is prohibited until the end of the school day unless permission is received through the Assistant Principal's Office. Students may lose parking privileges if they leave campus during the day without permission.
  • Students are responsible for the security of their vehicles parked on school property. Students shall not place, keep or maintain any article or material that is forbidden by district policy in a vehicle parked on school property.
  • You will be required to sign a 'Parking & Driving Contract" upon receiving your parking permit. Driving/parking violations will result in loss of driving privileges, fines, or other disciplinary consequences.
  • Administrators can revoke or suspend your parking privileges on campus at any time.
  • You must be free of ALL financial obligations (textbooks, MLISD fees and parking tickets) in order to receive your parking permit.
